Johnte’ Archer, JD is the CEO of J. Archer Insurance Group/Archer Commercial Insurance Group, a multi-national independent insurance brokerage. Founded in 2009, the affluent firm, is a notable Arthur J. Gallagher Connect Partner, AON and Willis Towers Watson Diversity Solution partner, an M/WBE firm selected based on their proven capabilities and their track record of exceptional performance. The firm has experience serving the risk management/insurance needs of clients ranging from high net worth individuals to multi-national public and private organizations.
Johnte’ is a proud graduate of the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, CA where she earned her law degree. She is no stranger to community service and advocacy with roots firmly planted through her membership into the illustrious Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in the Spring of 1998. She has a distinguished background as a participant in the Texas Legislative Internship Program (TLIP), The Mickey Leland Congressional Internship Program, and as a Legislative Aide for the US House of Representatives. She is a champion for girls and children evidenced by her early service as a law clerk with the Children’s Law Center in Los Angeles, CA and Guardian Ad Litem work with Child Advocates.
Johnte’ Archer is also the Founder/CEO of The SHE IS A CEO Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to encourage entrepreneurship, enrich character and develop a love for charity among girls. Through its programs, the foundation strives to create entrepreneurs one little girl at a time and support other organizations that educate and enrich the lives of girls. Johnte’ is proud to say that the organization will have served over 1000 middle school girls through its Entrepreneurship Academy, Conference and Pitch competition since its inception in 2015.
Supporting her community, girls and other women in business is Johnte’s passion. She serves as the finance chair for the board of St. John’s Church Downtown, and is a current board member of Temenos CDC/II & III, a community housing development corp. She is a supporter of such charities as The Houston Furniture Bank, The Bread of Life, Inc., Yellowstone Academy, & St. Jude’s to name a few. She also proudly served as a host committee member for the Heroes for Children’s Annual fundraiser for families with children battling Cancer, “Heroes for Handbags.”
Johnte’ has received numerous recognitions including Top 30 Most Influential Women of Houston, The Vanguard Award during Houston’s Iconic fashion week, and was recognized as a Top 10 Women In Business & Top 50 Female Attorney by the National Diversity Council. But above all, her proudest accomplishment is her family, spiritually led by her husband, Ike and grounded by the daily adventures of their 4-year-old son John Christopher.

Richard is a connector and lifelong educator, trainer and business development specialist with over 25 years of experience. His strength is building strategic and fortifying genuine relationships in order foster win, win, win propositions. He brings value to individuals, small businesses, corporations, municipalities and governmental entities by introducing them to the leadership and expertise of the risk managers and consultants of our firm. Most importantly, he promotes The J. Archer Way of doing business, where the culture is client-centric and fueled by exceptional customer experiences.

Jessica Gonzales joined J. Archer Insurance Group as Operations Manager in 2022. She brings over a decade of financial expertise and client service experience to the table. Her journey in finance took an exciting turn in 2020 when she discovered her passion for life insurance. Determination and experience have propelled her to lead the Life & Health department. She’s committed to helping individuals take the first step towards creating a lasting legacy.

Outside the office, you’ll find Jessica soaking up live music, delving into the pages of a good book, or cherishing moments with her family. Her favorite motto, “Keep moving forward,” reflects her commitment to going the extra mile for her team and clients. With Jessica as your account manager, you’re in the hands of someone dedicated to your financial success.

Sylvia is a bilingual insurance consultant with over 13 years of insurance industry experience and 16 years of providing outstanding customer service. She provides “Exceptional Client Experiences” for our High Net Worth and Personal Lines clients at J. Archer Insurance Group.  With the success and growth of each our clients, their transition into high net worth products, expanded coverage and concierge service delivery is vital.  Sylvia’s in-depth product knowledge and ability to ask the right questions makes the difference in eliminating gaps in coverage and providing our clients with a comprehensive personal insurance portfolio.

Syed “Sunny” Hyder is an Insurance professional with over 30 years of experience in Management, Marketing and Underwriting. Sunny excels at building professional alliances with clients and carrier organizations. His experience and expertise in commercial insurance enables him to provide comprehensive solutions to meet the needs of each client and to deliver exceptional customer service.

Julia is a dedicated bilingual Commercial Lines Account Manager at the J. Archer Insurance Group, bringing over six years of exceptional client service experience to her role. A proud graduate of the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Julia’s education and experience have equipped her to excel in her current position.

A true Houstonian, Julia was born and raised in this vibrant city and is deeply committed to her community. She is a loving wife and a proud mother of two beautiful children, which further fuels her passion for providing top-notch service. Julia thrives on meeting new people and is known for her friendly and approachable nature.

Chazity’s 10 years of diverse industry customer service experience and her reputation for providing excellent customer service in the Houston community make her a valuable asset to her organization.

Chazity’s background, including her move from St. Louis, Missouri, to Houston in 2006 and her role as a mother to three boys, highlights her personal journey and responsibilities outside of work. Her interests in gardening, volunteer work, traveling, and spending time with her family suggest a well-rounded individual who values community engagement and family time.
